The Northwest Mahler Festival is an all-volunteer
organization. We rely on the skills and labor of our volunteer pool to
make this festival happen. Do you have a bit of time or some special skill
to donate to the success of this year's festival?
To volunteer, fill in your name and email address, check
the boxes of the tasks that you can help with and press the Submit button at the
bottom of this page. If you have questions about what a task entails,
email info@nwmahlerfestival.org.
Items in Red are our most
pressing needs! Grayed out tasks already have
a volunteer for this year.
Mailbox Helper - our
PO box is across the street from Benaroya Hall. Can you check it and
forward important mail every two weeks? We need this help on an ongoing
basis.
Help us make photocopies
Transportation guru - help people find easy ways through traffic to the
festival, research bus routes, help coordinate carpools, warn of Mariner
traffic, etc
Publicity
Compile press contacts list - who do we send
our press releases to?
Get our concert listed in concert listings and
summer events calendars.
Send postcards
Post posters for publicity
Announce the festival at your orchestra rehearsals. We will provide flyers to hand out.
Ideally, we would have one person for every orchestra in the
area.
Help recruit musicians to fill in weak spots in the orchestra.
Involves phone calls and emails.
Fund Raising
Fund Raising Committee Chair - plan and
coordinate fund raising activities. Requires experience with fund
raising.
Contact businesses to request donations or grants, perhaps in exchange
for program advertising or being named as a sponsor.
